April Kim graduated from Beijing University of TCM and Middlesex Universities with a BSc (Hons) in Traditional Chinese Medicine. This full time, five year course not only covers the essential theories of Chinese medicine, acupuncture and herbs, but also fundamental aspects of western medicine, including; Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Clinical Diagnosis and Research Methods. April Kim comes from a long line of traditional holistic doctors. Her great grandfather was the famous Korean doctor Jonghwa Kim. After graduation, April Kim undertook extended study in acupuncture with a renowned acupuncturist Dr Yu Lan Bai, a stroke specialist, in Beijing, studying a new form of acupuncture, Fu Zhen (abdominal acupuncture), which is administered on the abdomen and is highly effective in treating many chronic disorders.
